Identity documents and voluntary return

How can you request your identity documents?

Send an e-mail to cid.teruggavedocumenten@ibz.fgov.be in Dutch, French, German or English. Is your request urgent? Please indicate this.

Your documents may be with the CALL (CCE/RvV). In this case, the Immigration Office will inform you, and you will need to contact the CALL directly.

What should I mention in my request?

If you wish to return to your country of origin, you must demonstrate this with a ticket reservation or a completed REAB form.

If you are still in a procedure, you will be asked to waive your application for international protection.

When can I collect the documents?

You will receive an e-mail invitation to collect your documents. This may take several days. The invitation states where and when you need to go.

Who can collect the documents?

You must collect your documents in person and sign an acknowledgement of receipt. You can however collect the documents of your underage children.

Are you unable to come in person? You can send someone else. This person must have authorisation. This is a written document in which you give this person permission to collect your documents. This document must also state why you cannot come and collect the documents yourself.

Are you an unaccompanied minor? You and your guardian, or your guardian alone, can collect your documents.
