Co-payment
The co-payment or personal share is the amount you pay yourself for your consultation with a healthcare provider, i.e. the amount that is not reimbursed by the health insurance fund. You have to pay the co-payment only if you are a member of a health insurance fund of your own choice. As an asylum seeker, you can ask Fedasil for a refund of the co-payment.
When do you have to pay the co-payment? If you go to a doctor outside the reception centre, and/or if you buy medicine from the pharmacy.
